Better Ideas for Better Fundraising: the 2008 Team Approach User Forum will present sessions with learning opportunities for every kind of user, from entry-level newcomers to seasoned executive strategists. Whether you do Direct Marketing or Membership, Major Donor Development or Planned Giving Research, Online or Offline CRM, Databases Administration or Enterprise Resource Planning, Team Approach Queries or Data Entry, Analysis or Report Production, Long-range Executive Planning or Database Integrity, User Forum 2008 offers learning opportunities your organization can't afford you to miss.

User Forum 2008 will be held at the Copley Place Marriott in Boston, MA. It will open Sunday, April 6th, with a cocktail reception at 5pm. Monday and Tuesday will include keynote speakers, general sessions, networking luncheons and concurrent sessions. Wednesday, April 9th, there will be optional user training sessions, available for an additional registration fee.

The conference will feature four General Sessions for all attendees, including a closing general session taking place on Tuesday from 3:00-4:15 p.m. Concurrent sessions focusing on a wide array of topics will be offered in seven tracks. Introduction to Account Data Upload
This course is an in-depth exploration of Team Approach's Account Data Upload (ADU). We will start with an overview of ADU's capabilities and an introduction to the upload tables and discuss how to migrate from Batch Upload to ADU, covering ADU control file customization and setting file code attributes, system preferences, and ADU parameters. We will cover how to run ADU, with an emphasis on using ADU to update existing account information and producing ADU reports.
Configuring Team Approach for Major Gifts
If you are thinking of expanding your use of Team Approach to Major Gifts, this course will give you the tools to get started. The course covers Major Gifts module functionality related to Interactions and Projects, but goes beyond basic user training to help you understand how to approach your configuration decisions and reporting needs. What is the best project configuration for your organization? How do you go about defining your interaction codes? What are reporting options beyond the suite of "canned reports"? How can you implement a few key user preferences to make the module as easy to use for your fundraisers as possible? Your instructor has worked with numerous Team Approach clients to implement the Major Gifts module and will guide you through the decisions you need to make and share best practices from clients who are successfully using Team Approach for Major Gift fundraising.
Events Module Discovery Session
This session covers the Events and Volunteers Module of Team Approach, with a heavy emphasis on configuration. We will cover the configuration areas that you need to understand to customize the module to each of your different types of events, including event types, registrant and volunteer stages, interactions, and benefits.
Advanced Account Data Upload
This course will provide an in-depth discussion of the Account Data Upload including but not limited to the design and usage of control files, creating new upload formats, working with ADU from the command line, and understanding and working with relationships, interactions and other data elements. The course will also peer into the code behind ADU's key functionality. Prior to the training, attendees are encouraged to send questions they would like answered during the course.
Introduction to Queries and Outputs
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the query and output process for Team Approach users who would like to learn how to write their own queries. This course simplifies the query and output process for the user by providing a non-technical introduction to the concepts behind queries and outputs, followed by hands-on practice with writing queries and outputs and scheduling them. Prior to the training, attendees will be invited to submit query examples that they'd like to focus on in the training.
SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
This course is a hands-on introduction to Target's new reporting solution, SQL Server Reporting Services. The course focuses on the powerful tool that provides an easy-to-use interface for creating, running, and distributing ad-hoc queries and reports. In addition to covering the basic features of the tool, this course will get participants comfortable with reporting from the Team Approach SSRS models.
