Implementation Support
We know that bringing in a new fundraising system can seem overwhelming. That is why we assign an experienced project manager to coordinate all phases of your implementation, from conversion programming to configuration analysis to end-user training. Your project manager will also help you coordinate your internal resources necessary for a successful implementation. At Blackbaud, we pride ourselves on the level of service provided during our implementation projects. Our implementation consultants are trained both in formal project management techniques and in fundraising practices -- in fact, most of them have direct fundraising experience from working at nonprofits. We work with your staff to think through and define your business processes, assist you with designing and testing queries and outputs, advise on code mapping, and help you select the most useful reports for your needs.
Conversion
Converting your existing data into Team Approach is a highly technical, but absolutely critical, process. Blackbaud's expert conversion analysts and project managers ensure that your data is converted accurately and efficiently. The conversion analysts utilize information about your database provided in conversion surveys, field descriptions, and code mapping documents to load the legacy data into Oracle tables and write the program to convert it into Team Approach. We then work with your staff to test the data and ensure that all data is converted accurately. Our conversion process has proven to be successful with a wide array of legacy systems.
Training
Blackbaud provides extensive training before, during, and after your implementation. For end users, we offer a comprehensive training curriculum designed to teach the basics of Team Approach, including account management, gift and pledge entry, customer service, contact management, and more. For advanced users and managers, configuration training and analysis sessions help you define your organization's business rules and learn how to maximize the power of Team Approach to meet your changing needs.
Technical & End-User Support
Once the software is installed and your data is converted, Blackbaud's support staff is there to answer questions and help you. Support representatives are knowledgeable in all aspects of using Team Approach, from a simple data entry question to the most in-depth configuration decision. We not only answer Team Approach and Oracle questions, but also can help with hardware issues or direct you to other sources to get your questions answered quickly and accurately.
Consulting

We also provide consulting services to organizations that are reengineering their business processes in conjunction with acquiring their new fundraising system. Having a professional database architect present during the reengineering phase can save time and money down the road when key decisions move from concept to implementation.
