Telephone Append and DMA Mail Preference Service

Like many nonprofits, you depend on direct mail and phone solicitations to draw a large number of annual contributions. You need to reach as many prospects as possible yet honor the preference of some donors who do not want to be called or solicited by mail. Target Software will help you do the right thing by adding our Telephone Append and the DMA Mail Preference Service to your Team Approach records.

Telephone Append

Personal contact is a fundamental means of maintaining donor relationships, so it is essential to not only have the accurate phone numbers for your constituents, but to determine the preferred method of contact for each. Calls have been shown to speed up response times and can generate up to eight times more response than traditional direct mail alone, but telemarketing to Do Not Call (DNC) registrants could alienate your otherwise loyal donors.

If your organization conducts phone-based campaigns, Target Data Enrichments Telephone Append can provide accurate phone numbers for your donors and prospects. The service will also verify phone numbers and identify which constituents are registered in Do Not Call Registry.

How It Works: Target will process your data against the USPS National Change of Address File (NCOA), Delivery Sequence File (DSF) and the National Do Not Call Screening service. Your files will then be matched to these databases ?o determine the most current and accurate phone numbers for constituents in your database, and constituents who have elected to have their phone number(s) placed in the DNC Registry.

DMA Mail Preference Service

You can protect your relationships with donors when running direct mail campaigns by honoring their desire not to be mailed with the DMA Mail Preference Service.

How It Works: Target will screen your file for donors who have registered with the DMA Mail Preference Service, and have requested to be removed from mailing lists. Constituents that are identified will be flagged in Team Approach so that you can exclude them from your direct marketing campaign lists. This append will help you implement strategies according to donor preferences, improve response rates, and reduce service interactions.
