Data Management Specialist

The Data Management Specialist is internally referred to as a Production Analyst. Our service-bureau division, Data Management Services (DMS), is actively recruiting a Data Management Specialist to join our growing team. As a successful candidate you will use Team Approach, our constituent management software, and SQL to manage individual client's data production work orders, assuring that tasks are performed on time and correctly. The Data Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the daily, weekly and monthly production operations are executed on time and with high quality. Within the department, the Data Management Specialist will assist in the continuing development of department materials and processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Export and Import data files and reports to/from clients or vendors ensuring data meets work order specifications and delivery is on time. This includes scheduling jobs within TA and managing vendor/partner relationships for data exchange.
  • Troubleshoot data processing issues and perform data fixes to maintain data integrity.
  • Assist clients and Account Managers in resolving technical support issues and investigate business requirement questions.
  • Set up administrative processes and documents as needed for each client, such as documenting production operations and maintaining vendor information.
  • Assist with complex segmentation projects, using Team Approach's segmentation tool.
  • Participate in new client conversions/implementations to the live environment.

Required Experience:

  • Preference for SQL experience.
  • Preference for knowledge of database architecture (Oracle and/or Team Approach a plus) software.
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Fundraising experience involving extensive use of fundraising software
    • Providing software support to users of software
    • Providing production services for a software application, specifically in a service bureau environment
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and self-teach through documentation and on-line resources.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in managing production jobs in a service bureau environment is a plus.

HR Specialist

We are seeking a HR Specialist to join our dynamic HR group. As a member of the HR team, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a challenging and fun work environment. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the HR department while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. This integral and hands-on role will support the various human resource functions as well as projects as assigned.

Critical performance areas will include acting as first point of contact for employee questions, supporting the recruiting function, coordinating and conducting new hire orientation and on-boarding processes, maintaining the HRIS and personnel files, and partnering with corporate human resources as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures.
  • Participate in the recruitment effort for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Conduct new employee orientations, on-boarding processes and exit interviews.
  • Publish bi-weekly HR announcements and provide updates to internal employee portal.
  • Maintain employee data on HRIS. Compile reports as needed.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Maintain current company organizational charts.
  • Administer STD and LTD benefits and act as first point of contact for employee questions.
  • Maintain and update visa files including I-9s.
  • Administer employee referral program and track vacation/personal/sick days.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years related HR experience required.
  • Prior experience with an HRIS database strongly preferred.

Junior Technical Support Analyst

A Junior Technical Support Analyst is needed in Cambridge, MA for Target Software (TSI), the provider of Team Approach, the leading enterprise CRM solution for non-profit organizations.

TSI's User Support department is an exciting, collaborative, fast-paced environment where client satisfaction is the primary goal. The successful Junior Technical Support Analyst will have the opportunity to develop close working relationships with TSI's client base, adding depth and dimension to the process of problem resolution.

The primary responsibilities of the Junior Technical Support Analyst are to own software investigations, to identify software bugs, to conduct data analysis, and to correct usage problems. Every investigation is different and of high complexity; the ideal candidate is one who is willing to think on his or her feet and has the motivation and determination to use various creative troubleshooting techniques until the solution is found.

This self-directed team player will be a key member of the User Support team and is primarily focused on the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced tier 2 and 3 investigations by performing data analysis with SQL, evaluating database settings and software configurations, and debugging or re-engineering stored PL/SQL procedures as well as Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports objects.
  • Embrace learning of new technologies and develop expertise in new software concepts and functionality while transitioning clients to their use of our next-generation web-based CRM product built on a Microsoft platform, which is currently in development.
  • Utilize SQLto correct data problems and evaluate data integrity.
  • Communicate findings to end users to facilitate problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with Application Development to design, implement, and test software fixes and enhancements.
  • Assist with the creation of functional and technical documentation.
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Participate in departmental infrastructure projects.
  • Represent the company at user meetings, conferences, and client site visits if needed.

  • 1+years of experience performing technical software investigations or software application development in close collaboration with clients and end users.
  • 1+years of experience using and understanding the functionality of robust CRM software applications.
  • 1+years of experience with relational databases, Oracle preferred.

Lead User Support Analyst

A Lead User Support Analyst is needed in Cambridge, MA for Target Software (TSI), the provider of Team Approach, the leading enterprise CRM solution for non-profit organizations. As an integral member of the Application Support team, the Lead User Support Analyst provides both technical and functional aid to Target Software's (TSI) non-profit clients and its employees by fielding support requests in a variety of areas related to Team Approach, TSI's software product. This position will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to exercise a talent for investigating technical problems and providing solutions to our non-profit customers. The Lead User Support Analyst will answer users' questions about system functionality, system configuration, and unexpected results. Additionally, the Lead User Support Analyst will participate in infrastructure projects and will represent the company at user meetings and conferences.

The ideal candidate is undaunted by complexity and merely challenged by the unknown. We are looking for someone with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Our team works closely together to promptly resolve our customers' issues, but each Analyst has ownership of their cases through resolution. This is not a PC-support/help desk position, rather a support engineering position that resolves complex software application inquiries. Investigations will involve debugging and analyzing source code to isolate software issues.

This position interacts with and supports users at non-profit businesses using our complex Oracle based CRM product, Team Approach. We are looking for a combination of experience with SQL and/or commercial software (preferably CRM). The Lead User Support Analyst will conduct advanced, tier 3 client issues and will fix bugs and produce data fixes.

TSI's User Support department is an exciting, collaborative, fast-paced environment where client satisfaction is the primary goal. The Lead User Support Analyst will have the opportunity to develop close working relationships with TSI's client base, adding depth and dimension to the process of task resolution.

The Lead User Support Analyst will be a senior resource to the entire Technical Services Division and will seek out ways to add value to the Team Approach Community.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Seek opportunities to improve department procedures.
  • Act as a role model and thought leader within the department.
  • Reverse engineer packages to determine intended behavior.
  • Conduct periodic technical and business practices training in-house and at User Forums.
  • Stewardship visits to clients as needed.
  • Mentoring incoming junior staff and other staff.
  • Develop and/or own Division infrastructure projects.
  • Act as main point of contact for important clients as needed.
  • Act as defacto mentor for the entire team.
  • Assist team with advanced investigations.
  • Insure that all team investigations are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist the Manager of User Support with the effective running of the department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline or related work experience equivalent with a four year degree is required.
  • 4 years of Team Approach technical experience.
  • Strong Oracle PL/SQL knowledge
  • Ability to learn new skills on the job.
  • Superior, demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas easily.
  • Proven Customer Service skills; experience in a customer-focused, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to conduct in-depth investigations; comfort investigating unknown issues.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to accurately document technical work.
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization abilities.
